Photography is more than just a hobby for me. It is an opportunity to change the world. To disclose more than what we see. To take imagination and make it viewable. In a world that would render an idea preposterous, I devote purpose into making it doable.

R. Thomas Jackson. Poet.         Photographer. Artist.

I hate to begin with a cliche, but ever since I was a little boy growing up in the small town of Tappahannock, VA I knew that I wanted to create. I wasn't quite sure what I was creating at times nor how I was going to create it but I couldn't ignore the desire to do so. Through creation I knew I could invoke a change. Not necessarily a change in my surroundings but more so a change in the perspective of those surroundings.

After nearly a decade servicing he DC, Maryland and Virginia area, I now reside in Richmond, VA as a retired professional. My current goal is to give you as much eye opening content as possible utilizing my vast skillset and expertise I’ve acquired over the years.

Outside of photography I am a passionate poet, an artistic trait I try to bring to each photo I take. My passion for photography is only seconded by my devote love of poetry. Through my words I've outlined expressions in hopes of showcasing a humanity and it's connection within us all. Please take a moment to visit my poetry section for some of my work right along with my videos section that shows my abilities in the filming arena.

Thank you for visiting and I truly hope you enjoy your stay!
